Portfolio Surgery with MADE in soho’s, Simon Sa Feio. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive about my work and really loved talking to someone from industry face to face. It was a great experience and extremely beneficial. I advice all second years going next year to do it! It was rather weird as well as MADE use woodcut imagery just like I used in my final major project… spooky. Take a look at some of their work… www.madeinsoho.com

Part of the New Blood Festival I visited DesignBridge! It was completely amazing! The studio looked like what you dream of design books everywhere, comfy sofas, lovely people and a sense of excitement & creativity in the air. 

We were given a cider and then the learning began…

Design Bridge were all about the BIG ideas… but also there design practise must also be these 6 things:

- Simple & Bold

- Authentic to the brand

- Warm & Engaging

- Enduring & memorable

- Brillantly Executed

- Focused & Confident

So it should be all of these things or your design will be poo!

DesignBridge studio contains a variety of different disciplines from graphics, 3D design to advertising. But they all come together in one big family to create amazing campaigns and packaging. 

If you are a student you MUST enter they’re annual Dog’s Bollocks awards, you can win a placement at this amazing studio! 

Visiting DesignBridge really made me excited about my future career in Design. If I ever get the opportunity to work in such a great studio, it would be brilliant! Thanks DesignBridge for all your lovely advice and the cider! 

During the New Blood Festival I visited the studio of onedotzero … a london based agency that curates and organises digital, moving image and animation shows, events and exhibitions.
